About

The Washington Koi & Water Garden Society (WK & WGS) was founded in 1991, by both Koi hobbyists and interested vendors, who wanted to provide a forum for their shared interests.

The purpose of the WK & WGS is to promote, create, and enlarge the hobby of Koi keeping by appreciating and exhibiting Koi, encouraging an interest in aquatic plants and ornamental gardening, and engaging in educational and informational activities relating to Koi and ponds.

We are a non-profit entity, and meet once a month, except for December, for socializing and educating ourselves about the hobby. We are members of the regional Pacific Northwest Koi Clubs of America (PNKCA), and Koi Organisation International (K.O.I.).
